Hi,
I wonder if someone can help with an issue. I have a dvd/cdrom drive that
can
read the contents of a cd/dvd and play them, but when I try to burn a disc
it
tells me to load a recordable disc in the drive? I have tried reloading
the
driver, and
tried different discs.
You describe it as a "dvd/cdrom" drive. ROM means read only memory, i.e. a
ROM drive can't burn, it can only read. So let me ask the simple question.
Did you mean that, or did this drive work in the past to burn either CDs or
DVDs or both?
If it worked before, what are you trying to burn now- a CD or a DVD? What
software are you using for this? XP has no in built ability to burn DVDs.
3rd party software is needed for that.
