Duplicate personal folders / Archive folder

Hi,

after a problem with OL 2003 I had to reinstall Windows XP and Office 2003.
I imported the old PST files - archives and Outlook, but now I have a
duplicate personal folder, and archives do not appear.

I already tried to make a new profile, but linking it to the old .PST file
(which I need because I do not want to loose contacts and mail stored there)
does not solve the problem.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

Never import a PST file. Your second solution works fine for everyone else.
State in more detail what you did. We can't tell what you did wrong. "Does
not solve the problem" does not tell us anything.

Russ, thanks for your prompt response. "Does not solve the problem" in this
context means that I still have the duplicate Personal Folders (which mirror
each one) and the Archive folders do not appear.

I think I found here a solution for the duplicate personal folders, which I
will try tomorrow (I am writing from Europe) but not for the Archives. (I
copies and imported a file called archives.pst, which is in the same folder
as Outlook.pst).

thanks
Luis

Russ, hi again. The issue with personal folders is ok now. Just missing the
Archives folder. Thanks in advance.

Your post is confusing. At one point you said you had 2 Archive Folders, now
none?
