Duplicate listings in Explorer

There are two listings of files in the left pane of my
Windows Explorer. They have different category names such
as My Documents for one and William Wielert's Documents
is the other. They contain identical files.
I would like to eliminate one set but not sure of safest
way and which one? TIA

Hi Bill,

They are mirrors of each other, and actually represent the contents of this
folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents

Do not attempt to delete either, this behavior is by design (though I can
see how it is a bit annoying).

There are two listings of files in the left pane of my
Windows Explorer. They have different category names such
as My Documents for one and William Wielert's Documents
is the other. They contain identical files.

Those are alternative names pointing to the same actual collection of
files. Each user has a folder
C:\Documents and Settings\username\
containing among other things 'My Documents'

Explorer shows the folder for the current logged in user as 'My
Documents' and (if there is access permission to them) those of each
user as 'username's documents'. So the current user gets two ways of
getting at them - just ignore the one you don't actually use
