Apparently not all email is duplicated. What a\kind of emails are being
duplicated?
Neil
Rules purely relate to placing emails in specifies folders.
AVG Anti-Virus disabled or not makes no difference.
This has only been happening for a short time and I have changed
nothing and created no further rules.
The only changes would be, I suppose, AVG and Microsoft updates.

Do you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook? Disable this
integration and try again.

Hi Robert and thanks for your response
I only have one account configured in Outlook
It is a POP3 account
I do have some rules configured but they don't cover these emails that
are
duplicating themselves.

Sorry Neil, I didn't explain clearly. If I download into OE,
then I
get 1 copy of the email. If I download into Outlook, I get 2
copies of
the same email in Outlook.
This will always happen. The 2 programs are totally independent.
If you
have the same email accounts setup in both programs you will always
get a
copy of each email in each program.
Neil
when I download into Outlook Express, I get a single copy of each
email.
When I download into Outlook [office 2003] I get 2 identical copies
of
each email.
This has only been happening for a couple of weeks - is there
anything I
can do to stop it ?
