DUN Wants To Connect Intermittently

I use DSL. I kept a modem in the machine for backup purposes.
Occasionally while connected with DSL, the DUN connect box will pop
up telling me I need to connect in order to view a page... or use Outlook
Express. Never had this happen before XP.
I just click the X in the upper right corner and continue using DSL.
Wondering where to start looking to prevent this.

I used the first part, disabling Autodial, and that seems to have fixed it.
Thanks.
