dual nics

I would like to know how to configure my P.C. to use dual
ethernet adapters. One for in - bound traffic and one for
out- bound. I hear this can really speed up appilcations
that load from a server.

That is 100% a myth. In theory if you designed your network to route the
traffic in that way yes, it would "technically" make it faster but it would
be very minimal in most environments. If you had a few gig of through put a
sec, then it might make it faster but then you have the problem that most
redirs would began to lag.
