Dual NIC setup

Steve

Just bought a new server with dual nics. Does MS server 2003 need anything
special done to make it work properly? Does it load balance? Any articles
that I can read about this?

Thanks,

Steve

Thanks,

You can either disable one of the NICs, or set up NIC teaming with the
software/drivers provided by the hardware manufacturer. Depends on the
server's role, and what you need, etc -

Note - MS is trying to move away from version-specific groups for server
products, so you may wish to post W2003 questions in m.p.windows.server.*

Yes. Leave one diabled and don't use it.
Does it load balance?

Absolutely not.
