Dual monitors

Can you use dual monitor with Windows 2000 similar to XP? For example you
have your laptop docked and hooked to another monitor. Can you open your
laptop and use both monitors (again, like XP)?

Thank you for the response. I should have asked "how" do I use dual monitors.
I know with XP you go to your desktop properties and select the dual monitors
and number them 1 and 2 accordingly. Then you can drag and open application
from one monitor to the other and open yet another application in the first.
Do you know how to do this with Windows 2000?
