Dual boot with Vista not loading XP

I have Vista 32 Home and XP Pro, Vista was installed first on the main drive
and XP pro installed second on the other drive. XP is my main OS, this setup
with the dual boot menu has been fine for several months but 2 days ago when
I started my PC I was asked to choose between booting of A: or WINXP, I chose
XP and was taken to the standard boot menu, when I chose XP the PC restarts,
when I choose Vista it loads fine. I suspect XP boot is somehow corrupted
but how do I fix just the boot without losing data and apps?
Please advise.

because you installed winxp
after vista, you performed
a system downgrade.

basically, the proper order
would have been to install
winxp first, then install vista
secondly.

even though you mentioned
you had not issues before,
you experienced a fluke that
simply caught up to you now.
-------------

another option you can
exercise is to install virtual
pc in vista, then install winxp
in virtual pc.

Care to re-read your posting? It doesn't make any sense.
