Dual Boot on same Partition

I purchased a laptop with Vista. I then installed XP to a windows directory
called windowxp. When completed it booted up into XP but I lost the ability
to boot into Vista. I then repaired the boot loader for Vista and then booted
into Vista. Bothe seem to be working fine, Q. Is there a way to bring up a
dual boot menu on startup to chose which OS i want to use by keeping them on
the same C drive?

How do you choose between them now? I can only imagine that you
set the "active" flag in the appropriate partition.
