Dual boot W2K and XP Pro

Hello, we use W2K Pro on a stand alone computer. We now have XP Pro full
version (birthday present). Some folks in my family want to use W2K and
others want XP Pro. So we want to have a dual boot system. Our computer has
two hard drives, we want to do a clean install of both W2K on first hard
drive and a clean install of XP on second hard drive. Will this work and if
so how do we do it. We want to do the installs correctly. Thanks for any
help or advice.

To do a clean install, either boot the Windows 2000 install CD-Rom or setup
disks. The set of four install disks can be created from your Win2k CD-rom;
change to the \bootdisk directory on the cd-rom and execute makeboot.exe
(from dos) or makebt32.exe (from 32 bit) and follow the prompts.

When you get to the point, delete the existing NTFS and or other partitions
found on drive0. After you delete the partition(s) abort the install, then
again restart the pc booting the CD-Rom or setup disks to avoid unexpected
drive letter assignments with your new install.

After Windows 2000 install is complete, then boot the Windows XP install
CD-Rom and choose to install to the unallocated space on drive1 (You can use
Windows 2000 to delete all partition information on drive1 prior to the XP
install)
