Edit the file c:\boot.ini, and change the value after the TIMEOUT= statement
to your preferred delay in seconds.
Perhaps the easiest way to accomplish this is:

1) right-click on the desktop or start menu "My Computer" icon, and select
Properties.
2) Click the Advanced tab
3) Under "System startup, system failure and debugging information" click
the Settings button
4) change the boot delay value where it says "Time to display list of
operating systems:".

Hope this helps.

Hi Bob,

Shorten the timeout= line in boot.ini

Start/run C:\boot.ini

Control Panel - System - Advanced - in the Startup and Error section,
click Settings, and there is an adjustment panel for it near the top
