DSL Problems

Alan

since upgrading to XP home, I've been unable to connect to
my AOL broadband service. AOL are at a loss - the line has
been checked and is allegedly working correctly.

I use a USB ADSL WAN Modem and never had a problem before
upgrading due to massive hardware failure (graphics and
HDD) however I cannot get a DSL signal when I boot up. If
I connect to AOL using my dial up then a signal gets
through to the modem and I can get perhaps 20 minutes of
Broadband service until I receive a error INIT Packet not
acknowledged.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE.......... (i think theres a
conflict over com ports being used but am at a loss to
proceed - I could also be totally wrong)!

Hello

Sounds like the problem came to lite when you upgraded
from 1 OS to another, instead of doing any upgrade do a
full install, sounds like thier is some driver conflicts in your
registry, doing upgrades of software always creates
problems, best advice, do a full install something to think
about
