Drive Mappings in GPO

O

OregonSteve

Greetings-

Win2K w/ AD; I found a section in a GPO for Drive Mappings but I don't know
exactly what they are for or how to access them. They are located at under
User Configuration-->Administrative Templates) Each folder is listed as a
drive: F through Z I can't find a way to open them up. Can someone shed
some light on this for me?

Thanx
OregonSteve

My apologies if this is a duplicate post. I can't see the original in my
newsgroup...

Can you please go into more detail regarding the path to this? I have never
seen this, but am VERY interested!

This is most likely drive letter hiding policy.

If you are looking to map drives using policy, you can either write logon
scripts or use Policy Maker's drive map policy extension to Group Policy.
This extension also integrates the drive hide/show policy.
