drive mapping over vpn

I have just installed Win2003 Small Bus server with remote access using VPN
installed.
I am using an XP client and am able to establish a VPN connection over the
internet but........
I CAN'T MAP A SHARED DRIVE TO THE SERVER ON MY XP MACHINE.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
