Drive Letter

I have to do a clean install of Win XP Pro. Is there any part of the install
where I can make sure that my drive letter remains C? A few yrs ago I had to
replace my hard drive and when Windows was loaded on the new drive, my drive
letter was F and I couldn't change it. I would think that would be the
default but I want to make sure that doesn't happen again. Thanks!

Unhook any other internal hard disk drives/zip drives... and unhook any
external hard disk drives/media readers...

Install.

What about another earlier Windows OS installed on another
partition on the same HD that thinks its own partition should be
called "C:"? What would the installer then name the new OS's
partition?
