drive letter access

I want to backup my Quicken account to CD, but Quicken will not write
to my F (CD-RW)drive. Sony (my computer) says I need "drive letter
access" (packet writing format). Where is this available and at what
cost? Thanks.

Popular programs include Nero and Roxio, both between $50-80 US.
