Downloading

I have been trying to download some templates that require you to have a
graphics program or MSWord. I have word perfect was told it should download
file. When I try it gives me a "Cannot convert graphics. Do you want to
continue. I cklick yes and get a blank document. The files where created in
Word pad

If the files were created in WordPad why not use it to open the files?
WordPad comes included with Windows XP. It is not MS Word.
