Downloading Microsoft Office

Is it legal to download Microsoft Office onto your Personal Computer and
Laptop using just one CD? or do you have to get some kind of licensing?

My version of the software Office 2003 says right in the license you may
install (not download, maybe there is a difference in the way you
installed??) from the CD on a primary computer PLUS a portable computer so
long as the sole user is the same for both.

If you have a site license with your company, probably this is not the same
deal.

That's generally the case for retail versions of MS software. But if
the software was installed on your computer when you purchased the
computer, it is probably an OEM version. OEM versions are legal ONLY
on the computer they were originally installed on, they are not
transferrable, nor may they be installed on a 2nd computer.
