downloading large message

I have a 7mb message that I am trying to download, the person who is sending
it does not know how to reduce picture file sizes and has sent me a load of
photos in the original file size. I cannot download this message because my
server keeps timing out, is there any way of getting the mail without asking
her to reduce dozens of picture sizes and send it again?

That person should "zip" the files into a zip file, that
should reduce by at least 50%. If that person doesn't
know how to zip, they will need to download a free zip
client, such as WinZIP from a shareware/nagware site,
install (usually straightforward and quick), then create
a new zip file and drag and drop the pic files into the
zip folder. Then send you the zip file (this is an easy
way to compress for sending). HTH
