McAfee may have its own uninstall. Try checking it in The Start-Programs
screen. If this is a bust then go to the McAfee website, Support, and look
for a manual install of the program. Although I haven't done this on XP I
have done it several times on Win98 through a script that McAfee provided on
their site for removal when the program only partially uninstalled.
With McAfee and almost any AntiVirus, They will add hooks
into the file control system. For this reason I suggest you
reinstall windows when changing AV or security software.
