Downloadable program to generate word lists for word game play?

Hi,

Is there a freeware program which I could download and run on my computer,
will generate word lists, for use in playing word games? I'd like to be able
to check word spelling, as well as find possible words from letters. After a
few days of searching the web, and several word sites, I've had no luck.

As a follow-up, I use Word Search, Susan. It's exactly what I wanted; I love
the three word-search options, and the ability to add words.
BTW, I'm using it on Quiddler's Daily word Puzzle site (the middle icon):
http://www.quiddler.com/index.html

It may be cheating, but I'm unsure, since Quiddler itself offers a text file
download of normal to rare 3-letter words. <g>
For the Set Puzzle, after practice I don't need to "cheat."

I meant back from visiting the Daily word Puzzle. I do like it. Didn't
stay long enough to figure out more than the bare rudiments. . . IOW
