Download/Install HijackThis

My instructions for downloading & installing HijackThis is to create a folder
on the desktop exclusivly for HijackThis. How do I create this folder and is
this the best place tp put everything for HijackThis? Can this folder and
program be protected so only I can use it? thank you.

Please see the answers you already got to your previous post. I'm going
to second some of the suggestions: I absolutely do not want to hurt
your feelings, but if you don't even know how to make a folder on your
Desktop you should not attempt to clean this machine by yourself. Take
it to a good local professional, not a BestBuy or CompUSA type of
store. Again, I'm not trying to be hurtful. Just being practical. There
is no shame in taking the machine to a professional - I don't hesitate
to take my car to the mechanic.

Just rt click on Desktop select New>Folder. Rename it HiJackThis.

If another user of your computer might be suspected of wanting to disable
your HijackThis software, you have a bigger problem than we can solve, sad
to say.

Thank you all for your replies. Malke, you CANNOT hurt my feelings in anyway
so don't get to excited about it-I am not. I am 72 yoa, my son who is a
programer for Cinergy in Cinn. will fix it for me if I screw it up to bad and
if I have to use the "dark ages" of telephone calls and pen & ink for a few
days that is ok too. I am having fun and trying to learn something new. Never
stop learning new things.
