File - Import and Export - Export to File - Comma Separated Values (I've
never really figured out the difference between DOS or Windows versions) and
then select the Contacts folder.

I tried to export to a CSV (DOS) file and Windows wouldn't open it.

Would Excel import it? One of these days I'll take some time to figure it
out =)

one quick way
1. open excel, drag and drop the CSV file into excel

another way, just open it with excel.

However if the CSV file were tab delimited instead of comma delimited, you
may have to open with notepad, copy and paste to excel.

you can always export as text file and import into excel instead:
open the txt file in excel specify if comma or tab delimited, and follows
the prompt
