Hi

I'm looking for assistance with downgrading my license of Windows XP x64
Professional to Windows XP 32-bit Professional.

3 months ago I bought an Acer laptop with x64 pre-installed because I wanted
to leverage the power of the 64-bit processor. However I am now finding huge
restrictions in what I can do with the laptop because of the lack of driver
support leaving me with no option but to downgrade to 32-bit Windows.

Are there any options available to me whereby I can relinquish my license of
x64 for a license of 32-bit XP?

Many thanks.

Nope. Buy and install the OEM or retail version Windows you want to use
on the PC, an "upgrade" copy won't work.

NO! XP 64bit is OEM and forever tied to your laptop, as per the OEM EULA.

You need to buy a retail version of XP Pro 322bit. Or check in the OEM EULA
to see if the OEM license of the 64Bit XP can be downgraded to 32bit. Then,
you need to still buy a 32Bit XP Pro.
