Dosplay issue on XP Pro

I am trying to get VNC to display a remote desktop on my laptop. I get
connected, but the display is just a jumble of multiple images:
windows, cursors, etc.

get connected, but the display is just a jumble of multiple images:
windows, cursors, etc.

This sounds like a VNC/Connection problem or one with the video card on one
end or the other.

Uninstall whatever flavor of VNC you installed.
Updated the motherboard chipset and video card drivers on both machines in
question.
Download and install UltraVNC or TightVNC.
Try again..
