Dos type programs

Hi all,

When I try to run DOS type programs from the run command, such as ipconfig
The black box opens up for a second but does not remain open. I thought my
pop up blocker may be stopping it but this is turned off. Any ideas on how I
con get these program boxes to remain open.

Thanks

Open a command prompt window using the "cmd" command first.

start>run>type CMD in the box>hit enter

type IPCONFIG etc in the box

There is an icon for command prompt in programs>accessories you can copy and
then drag to the quick launch bar if you use this often, it's one I always
drag there ... if not in accessories you'll find it somewhere around there.
