DOS PROMPT ERROR

G

Guest

I am using windows XP as operating system. When I execute Edit command at the
MS Dos prompt the system shows the error as

C:\WINDOWS\system32\CM.exe-EXIT

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running
MS DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications. Choose Closeto terminate the
application.

Please help me to fix this problem and guide me how I can use the Edit
command at the DOS problem. Thanks in anticipation

Browse to your C:\WINDOWS\repair folder and locate the file autoexec.nt and
copy it to you c:\windows\system32 folder.
