This is happening on two PCs, mine and the boss'!
This is definitely software, and, I think, has only happened since the
Windows XP Service Pack 2 update.
· We have a Lotus Notes Domino email system here.
· The Boss, and I, and possibly one or two more, all run Microsoft
Outlook as our preferred email client.
· We have the Microsoft Office Outlook Connector for IBM Lotus
Domino (English) Version 2.0.4007.0.
· We also have Microsoft Personal Folder Backup installed.
1. The Domino mailbox can’t be backed up by Personal Folders Backup, only
Personal Folders can, hence we want all emails delivered to our Outlook
Personal Folder (outlook.pst).
2. We set Outlook accordingly, via Tools, E-Mail Accounts, View or Change
existing e-mail accounts, select account, (we both have at least two
accounts), Select Deliver new e-mail to the following location: Personal
Folders, and Finish.
3. We see a message about having changed delivery location, which will
take effect the next time Outlook is started. We click OK.
4. If we then quit Outlook, and restart it, mail delivery is back to
Domino mailbox!
5. Maddening!
