Domain Not Found!!!!

Hi

I am having an issue with a couple computers. Most see my 2000 domain just fine, but there are a couple laptops that cannot see the domain. All of our laptops have just had a clean install of 2000 professional. The one that don't work get this error

system cannot log you on now because the domain abc is not available

I know this doen't contain much information, but I guess I am tired and can't think of anything else that is relevent

Make sure your AD DNS is set up properly. All servers and workstations
should specify *only* the internal AD-integrated DNS server's IP address in
their network settings. The AD-integrated DNS server should be set up with
forwarders to your ISP's DNS servers for external resolution. See

DNS appears to be setup correctly except that I cannot get a trust set up between this domain and another. Everytime I try to create the trust my account becomes locked out.
