does win2K support ICS via wireless?

does win2K support ICS via wireless?

I have been using ICS on a small wired network quite
successfully for a while.

I have just purchased a billion 7202g adsl wireless modem
router

Until adsl is available (a few months yet) I wish to use the
wireless to connect laptop (it has worked with the wired
component) to my current ICS setup. Is this possible? Any
pointers links advice would be appreciated

Yes, Windows 2000 supports ICS. Whether the network is wired or wireless is
invisible to the operating system so yes it still should work.

Thanks Dave

I have enabled ICS on my dialup connection. The ICS allows a
selction of a NIC, the wireless connection I have in the
win2K is a billion USB and is available in the drop down as
a "local connection USB" (as a NIC). If I disable the DHCP
server on the wireless router and set the get IP etc to
automatic should it find it the dialup ICS automatically?

Sounds like you don't really have the correct equipment for what you're
wanting to do. What's the router going to do for you?

I doubt that your router will have any capability to act as a wireless DHCP
client. At best you'll need to make a wired connection from the ICS machine
to the WAN port of your router.
