Does Vista Backup Backup The ITunes Folder?

Can anyone tell me if Vista backup (i.e. file backup) will backup all of the
iTunes folder or do I need to buy separate backup software to do this? The
computer is running Vista Home Premium and I know that Vista backup works on
file type rather than location.

If you want decent backups, you should ALWAYS use a 3rd party backup
application..

I can't answer your question directly, but I can tell you that you can back
up your iTunes (providing they are all in the iTunes folder) using SyncToy
(set to echo) which is available FREE from Microsoft.

One simple way is to find the folder holding your iTunes stuff and drag/drop
it (or them) on to an external hard drive. That's what I do, it's very simple.

Hi,

Thank you for the post.

From your description, I understand that you would like to backup iTunes
files.

Please understand that Windows Backup only backs up the most common file
types. The following files are not included:

System files (the files that Windows needs to run)
Program files
Files stored on hard disks that are formatted using the FAT file system
Web-based e-mail that is not stored on your hard disk
Files that are in the Recycle Bin
Temporary files

If you would like to transfer iTunes Library to another computer, please
refer to the following article

If you need further help, please let me know.
