Does PP have a linked field option like Word (Ref/Bookmark)?

I'm looking for a way to update text on one slide that will automatically
update the same text on multiple slides. just like Word does with a REF field
and a Bookmark. Any thoughts?

Is this something you'll use while preparing a presentation or does it need to
happen during a presentation?
