New disks come with software that will do this for you. It will make a
sector by sector clone of your old drive onto the new drive. Read and
follow the instructions carefully. Backup any truly critical data prior.
Be aware that this process can take several hours depending on the size of
the old HDD. Run chkdsk and defrag the old HDD prior to copying.

Thanks Bobby, I got software as you stated with my new hard drive. The HARD
DRIVE company actually suggested I use something like Norton Ghost because
their (HD's company) wouldn't do what I needed in XP. Guess i'm back to
square one.
