Documents and Settings folder

Hi all:

I have a feeling that the answer to this is "no" but here goes anyway.
Is there any way to relocate the C:\Documents and Settings folder to
another drive other than the C drive?

Thanks,
KLE

A different location can be specified for the folder at the time of
installation. See the article referenced by Detlev or this one:

An error message informs you that you cannot move or rename the

Thanks. I will be doing a clean install on a new system. The unattended
installation instructions are a bit daunting; do they also apply to XP?

Since I am not doing a restore-from-backup on any programs, I'll be
really starting over and that will probably clean up that folder a bit.

The only folders on C: are Windows and Documents/Settings. Programs
Files and Common Files are on another partition; Data files (documents,
music, pictures, etc.) are on still another partition. Changes to be
made immediately after repartitioning. The size of Doc/Set is a bit
annoying, but I'll live with it.
