Document Map View Problem with Paragraph Level Viewable in the Map

Hello,

I work on large customer proposal documents and am a big fan of the Document
Map feature in Word. I am using Vista and Office 2007. My documents use a
template with many styles including Headings and paragraphs.

I received a file from a co-worker, When I open the file, the TOC looks
perfect with the Level 1, 2, 3 hierarchy that is set for my template.(My
template is set with a macro to update the TOC when the file is opened.)

I then open the Document Map to view the outline and I see the same
Heading/Subheadings I would expect to see; however, I am also seeing a
paragraph style in the Document Map as well. The paragraph style is not a
style captured in my document TOC outline levels.

If I save the file after adding content, everytime I open it the "unwanted
Response style" appears in the Document Map; it is now viewable in my TOC,
and I cannot figure out how to stop it from showing up.If I never open the
Document Map for this file, I never see the unwanted styles in my TOC.

Has anyone had this type of problem when using the document map? If so,
could you share the fix for it?
