Not sure if this is the correct board for this question but here goes.

I have created a document (example below)

Meter Station Name _________________ Meter Number ___________________
Delivery _________________ Receipt
___________________
Line No _________________ Mile Post
___________________

I want other users to be able to type in the info that needs to be inputed.
How do I keep the lines the length they are and keep the info they are typing
in underlined? Hope this makes sense.

Thanks

Set the form up as a table with fixed cell dimensions. See

For some reason it won't let me use the drawing toolbar. I can click on it
but everything is grayed out.

Thanks

Make sure you have a blank document open and then click on the line next to
Autoshapes on the Drawing Toolbar and when your cursor turns into a cross
drag it where you want your line to be.

Now I have another issue with this same document.

Station Name ___________________ Meter Number __________________

I used the drawing lines to make the lines for each row. Now the problem is
when I type a station name in that part is ok but the words Meter Number move
but the line doesn't.

How do I get the words to stay where they are? Hope this makes sense

Thanks!

Carol...thanks a bunch, I'll have to read that link and try to figure out
where I need to go from here. I'd rather not re-create the whole document if
I have too. Will let you know what comes of it.

Thanks

Both the issues will be addressed if you format the document using tables
with cells of fixed dimensions and cell borders for the underlines.
