When I press [Enter] in word it draws a line..help!

Not like a long line, like a short line - the length of an underline - but it
is not an underline. The underline comes in just a smidge above the other
line, when with underline on still draws.
I think it may have something to do with formatting but really have no idea
how to fix it at this stage..

If you are in Normal/Draft view, perhaps you are seeing the End of Document
marker?
