Lord of the Ring

I have a process running in my win2000 called dn_ame.exe... does anybody
know what this is??? my system is acting funny and I was trying to look at
the processors running in background... check the net and couldn't find
anything....
would appreciate it if you could give me some hint... what this is? how can
it be removed(if it can be removed at all)?

thank you in advance.

This might give you an indication of what this service are
doing.

To view the list of services that are running:

From the Windows 2000 installation CD's Support\Tools
folder, Extract the Tlist.exe utility from the Support.cab
file.
On the Start menu, click Run, and then type cmd.
Change folder to the location from which you extracted the
Tlist.exe utility.
Type tlist -s.
Tlist.exe displays a list of active processes. The -s
switch shows the list of active services in each process.
For more information about the process, type tlist pid.

Here's what I would do:

search for file dn_ame.exe on your system.
you probably are going to find at least onee instance of it.
right-click on it and choose "properties".
under "properties" examine "version" tab (if present)
It might be interesting. Legit .exe files provide such info as
manufacturer, version, internal name, etc. If it is something useful,
you will be able to see part of what software this process is. If no
version tab- still see what you can find there.

Regards
Yuri.
