XP certified keyboard on Win2000

Is there anything about Win2000 that would prevent it from running a
keyboard certified for XP only (and Vista)?

I have at least one other peripheral certified for XP only that runs fine on
Win2000, but the fact that this keyboard can handle Vista makes me suspect
that the manufacturer, and unfortunately it's Microsoft, may have tweaked
everything so that in this case they mean what they say. FWIW, none of the
ads mentions a driver CD, but there could be one.

I would expect that it would function fine as a normal keyboard without any
additional drivers. Might be some of the special function buttons, etc.
won't work without the driver which is of course for the newer OS.

It's actually just a normal 104 key Windows USB keyboard, so hopefully
everything will run without a hitch. Because of the timing of the
industry-wide switchover to black, a plain white USB keyboard is actually
fairly hard to find.
