DLL missing

Hi,

I can't seem to find my question and reply posted 10/30/05.

My Norton SystemWorks 2003 One Button Check Up is coming up with a shared
file missing. Symantec no longer gives this version support, but I suspect a
dll file is missing. Is there any way to find which dll file it is.

Would using a Windows repair (XP CD) function reinstall any missing dll
file? If so, how do I go about using the Windows repair? I tried already,
but nothing happened.

I had tried to use System Restore, but it failed.

Thank You. Dennis

It should tell you what is the complete file name (click on Details).

Hi Yves,

Thank You for responding.

The details state: "Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Shared DLLs
refers to a missing file, C\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\DLL
Shared"

This is it.

I had deleted a game and still found a reference to it in the Program Files,
so I deleted that about a week or so ago. This stupidity is what probably
caused my problem.

By the way my System Restore doesn't work at all.

Thank You for any help. Dennis
