DLL Function Call Crashed

Rob

I am hoping someone can help me. I have a game that was
manufactured in 2002, from a company that is no longer in
business. This game installs and runs on 4 other
machines. 1 that is 1 year older then my computer and
running Windows XP (mine is only 7 months old), another
that is about 2 yrs older then mine also running XP,
another that is about 5 or so yrs older running Windows
98, and one that is only 2 months old running XP. It
will not install on my computer. The error message I
receive when installing is Error #0X80040707 - DLL
Function Call Crashed. CHKREQS.setupwindow. Setup will
now terminate. This has to be a Windows problem, but HP
can not figure it out. The game is 3DO's Army Men
R.T.S. Can anyone help me?

To determine if that is a windows problem,go to technet at microsoft.com,help an
support,windows xp,use the on-line .dll/event utility,enter the info then the result
will get displayed as to the specific problem. You might also open event viewer an
chk for info when you tried the installations
You'll soon find out,hp blames everything on microsoft, they havent a clu
when it comes to xp..
