Trying to use older dos app within a window on XP. Get a
divide overflow error. What does this mean?

It means that the program is encountering some sort of error that it's not
handling properly. You may want to try running the program in a
Compatibility Mode.

Here are a few articles about how to use that feature of Windows XP:

Remember to check Windows Update often,
and apply the patches marked as Critical!

Your CPU is too fast to run the program.
You may need a patch for the program to run it on your
hardware.
