Display Properties Options gone missing

When i right-click on my desktop and select properties the window only
contains the option for Themes. The other options have disappeared -
i.e. i can't change resolution or wallpaper for example. The tabs for
these options simply aren't there any more (they were there last week
before you ask)

I recently removed, after much effort, a 'BackDoor-BDD'
trojan/virus/spyware infection. Did i inadvertantly delete a DLL
relating to my display properties? Any ideas as to why i can't see
these options?
