Display Properties greyed out

Hi All,

I hope you can help me with this. I went to a friends place and removed
spyware and viruses. All seems to be clean now. But for some reason, when I
right click on desktop and go to the Display Properties to change his
wallpaper, the browse button is greyed out. I have no idea what this is.

I have also noticed that whether it is IE6 or FireFox, it take a couple of
times to reach a webpage (Any webpage). I have to hit the refresh a couple
of times to actually get to the page.

As always, your assistance is appreciated and comments are certainly as
well. This is a constant learning experience for me.

Thanks,
Sam

Your PC might complain about a .reg or .vbs file. It is from Kelly, she's
another MVP, and you can certainly trust her. Run that.

Malware might have done a whole lot more damage to your PC than you might
think. Here's some general cleaning help:

Hi Galen,

Thanks very much for the direction. I have actually e-mailed Kelly as well
as she has helped me in the past. You are right, she is great!

Thanks,
Sam

Excellent. I'm sure she'll be happy to hear she's helped and I'm glad to
have been able to point you in the right direction. Practice safe hex and
you'll have to worry about those things less and less. (Head to your
favorite search engine and type in "safe hex" and follow the links.)
