display problems, please help

When my computer starts, the screen that says loading
Windows XP and has the green bar going back and forth
loads correctly, but when Windows XP itself loads the
entire screen has been rotated 90º. I have to put my
monitor on its side to view the screen right side up. Can
anyone help me fix this problem??? Thanks for your help

Some of the newer display cards allow rotating the display on the monitor.
Check settings in Control Panel> Display> Settings> Advanced. If the
software for your display adapter adds an extra icon in Control Panel,
check settings there too.
