Multiple Monitor Problem

I am setting up a system with four monitors using two Radeon Sapphire
graphics cards. However, we need to use the video port on the motherboard as
the primary screen for a total of five monitors. When I plug everything in
and install the drivers i reboot and monitor 2 comes up to the Windows XP
loading screen. Then blanks out and none of the screens show anything. All
monitor power lights are amber except for monitor two which is green but the
screen is black. Any ideas?

Check the motherboard's BIOS / CMOS settings. Some motherboards might
have a default setting that if the motherboard detects a separate
video card, it would turn off the on-board port. There should be a
setting to turn this back on (but check with your motherboard
settings / manual / manufacuter's web site.)

I am leaning toward a motherboard problem. It is a new system but I think
the board might be bad. Thanks

If the motherboard is new, then check the BIOS / CMOS setting before
blaming a faulty board. The newer motherboard that have built-in
video cards tend to be set up that if the BIOS / CMOS detects a PCI /
PCI-Express video card, it might turn off the on-board video card.

What is the model of the motherboard?
