Display - Mouse Problem???

Hello, any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

I have a Toshiba Satellite 5200 running XP Pro.

For some reason in the last couple of days, I have noticed a strange
thing happening.

I am running my screen res at 1600x1200, and the desktop looks
perfect, the systray is in the right place, etc. The problem is that
my mouse goes off the right hand side of the screen, and will continue
right, although I can't see it.

I know it sounds strange, but when I start to move the pointer left
from the far right hand side, it takes five or six inches of leftward
mouse movement to get the pointer back on the screen.

I have re-installed the latest nvidia drivers (53.03) and still the
same problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions to solve this issue?

TIA,

Jason

An interesting feature of laptops is the screen. Does your laptop screen
actually support the resolution of 1600 x 1200? If not, when you select it,
Windows displays only a portion. When the cursor reaches the edge, the
screen will scroll around. The other thing is multiple monitor support.
Maybe it thinks there is a second monitor and is trying to use that too. If
you had a second plugged in, you would see the cursor leave one monitor and
appear on the other.

Lindsay, thanks.... Yeah, the native resolution is 1600x1200, and
after messing with the dual monitor support, I got it figured out.

I don't know how the setting got changed originally, but I appreciate
your help.

Cheers!
