Further to my post a few days ago (Service Pack 2 screws mouse accuracy), I
am still having problems with my mouse and I'm convinced that it has
something to do with SP2.
My mouse (Intellimouse Explorer) isn't as accurate as it was pre-SP2,
especially top-left to lower-right diagonal movement. I reinstalled the
latest Intellipoint drivers, but this had no effect. I even tried another
mouse, which works perfectly on another PC but suffers the same "fault" on
mine. One thing I have notices is 'pointer creep'. Every now and then, if
I take my hand of the mouse and do not touch it, the pointer starts to
slowly move diagonally up and to the to left of the screen (the opposite
direction to the inaccurate top-left to lower-right diagonal movement).
Does any of this give a clue to anyone what the problem might be?
