Disk image of Dual Boot system

So, I created a dual boot image of Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Each OS is
installed in its own partition on the same drive (Installed 2K first and then
XP). Everything is working fine.

Then, I used Ghost and created a Disk image to a network drive. Still, no
problem. When I tried to use this image on another hard drive, the XP
installation would not work. I select "Windows XP" and it begins the process
of booting up. then it gets to the starting Windows screen and kind of hangs
right there. the Mouse still moves, but nothing else works.

Does anyone have a clue on why this is happening or how to fix this problem?

thanks,

Which OS did you "image"? Or did you "image" the entire HD?
Did you direct Ghost to make an image file or a bootable image?
What do you mean "still, no problem"? What function still
works?

When I tried to use this image on another hard drive, the XP

What do you mean by "use this image on another hard drive"?
Is that other HD internal? Networked? How did you transfer
it to the other HD?

I select "Windows XP" and it begins the process of booting up.

Is the "process of booting up" the presentation of the names
of the OSes that are listed in the boot.ini file? IOW, do you
see the normal dual-boot menu?

then it gets to the starting Windows screen and kind of hangs

It sounds like you're trying to boot from a network HD
rather than restoring an image to a HD. AFAIK, Ghost
can't put a bootable image on a networked HD because
there isn't a loader for WinXP that will boot from one.

Please tell me if I'm wrong and if Ghost's documentation
claims otherwise.
